Kiwanis Club of Utica is helping to spread love and kindness this February by supporting local children through two meaningful service projects, empowering them to thrive and flourish. This year the Kiwanis Club of Utica donated dozens of valentine cards to children of the Thea Bowman House and over 50 bags of Hershey Kisses to the Salvation Army.
Valentine’s Day has become a cultural celebration and can be presented as a commemoration of friendship. “Handing out Valentines presents a great opportunity for children to appreciate friendships,” said Rock Schneider, President of Kiwanis Club of Utica. “It’s a great reminder that appreciation for friendship can be shown through acts of kindness and words.”
Kiwanis Club of Utica is an organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
