The opening reception will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 6:00 PM at The Westwood, located at 167 Genesee Street, Utica, on the Lower Level. Guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and a cash bar as they immerse themselves in Angela’s transformative artwork.

Through this body of work, I delve into the process of overcoming illusions and preconceived notions I once held about myself, as well as societal expectations,” states DeCarlis. “My artistic path has led me to discover my most authentic self, and this exhibition captures a snapshot of that evolution. Artist Bio:
Angela DeCarlis, MBA, is a distinguished artist whose work explores themes of self-growth, transformation, and the inherent beauty of nature. Her art challenges societal limitations, inviting viewers to explore deeper realities beyond conventional boundaries. With two decades of artistic experience, Angela specializes in painting, murals, and art education. As a self-employed artist with a passion for integrative holistic life coaching, she has balanced her artistic career with her role as President of the Board for Utica Monday Nite (UMN for the Arts). Angela’s vibrant colors, intricate details, and thought-provoking imagery create a visual narrative that encourages viewers to question and transcend their limitations. Her upcoming gallery show is a testament to her artistic evolution and dedication.
