ICAN will be making the holidays a little brighter for some of its families. The agency’s annual Turkey Drive will provide Thanksgiving dinner for over 200 families across the Mohawk Valley. On Thursday, November 21, 2019 starting at 3:00pm at ICAN – 310 Main Street, Utica agency staff, volunteers from First Source Credit Union, including Chief Development Officer Mike Parsons and First Source President/CEO Tom Neumann and ICAN CEO/Executive Director will Steven Bulger will assemble packages that include all the fixings for a complete Thanksgiving dinner. On Friday the 22nd, agency staff and providers will deliver baskets across Oneida and Herkimer Counties to allow families the time to prep a full Turkey Dinner with their families together for the holidays.
ICAN CEO/Executive Director Steven Bulger expresses his appreciation for all those that have made this year’s drive the best to date. “Every year, our Turkey Drive helps us bring joy and togetherness to so many families in need, at a time of year where they need it the most. We will be providing hundreds of meals for children and families this season and could not do it without our partners, sponsors and the community.”
“It is our pleasure to be able to assist ICAN with their annual Turkey drive again this year,” said Tom Neumann, President/CEO of First Source. “It’s tough to know that Thanksgiving is not a reality for people right here in our community. Being able to help Steve and his team by funding and volunteering to make Thanksgiving a reality for so many families is something we are grateful for the opportunity to do.”
