First Source is proud to announce that they have two employees who have graduated from Leadership Mohawk Valley this June: Stacey Vomer, Manager of Branch Services, and Amanda Abbe, Underwriting Manager. As part of their program, their cohort will also complete their community impact project this month.
This year’s project entails the implementation of a Recovery Art Café and Youth Clubhouse in Rome, NY for the Center For Life & Recovery. The main objective of the project is to immerse the CFLR with the revitalization of downtown Rome, while maintaining the integrity of being a part of the “Arts District.” The Recovery Art Café will serve as a spot for budding artists in the Mohawk Valley to create and display their work. The café will also include coffee and tea for patrons to enjoy while viewing the art. The Youth Clubhouse will be designed to be a safe space for the youth in the area, where they can take part in arts and crafts and leisurely activities such as gaming, movies, and reading.
In addition to Leadership Mohawk Valley, the Center for Leadership Excellence Umbrella also encompasses the Leadership Academy, and Supervisors Institution. First Source had 9 employees graduate from those programs as well. Leadership Academy: Paul DePietro, Tina Skinner, Danielle Salm, and Savanna Kinderman. Supervisors Institute: Jessie Sherman, David Dietz, Jaime Buley, Sarah Guarascio, and Adela Covic.
