First Source is proud to celebrate National Financial Literacy Month observed each
year during the month of April.
The importance and integration of financial literacy and education are at the very core of First Source Federal Credit Union who started as Utica Teachers Federal Credit Union back in 1938. Education is a key component of how they serve their employees, Members and the community. So much so, that they have dedicated Community Educator and Community Development positions within the organization. Those employees provide financial education to our community in a multitude of settings, free of charge.
During the month of April alone, their Community Educator interacted with approximately 20 student classrooms and businesses’ employees delivering financial education presentations, information and workshops.
