F.X. Matt Brewing Co., brewer of Saranac, Utica Club, Jed’s Moscow Mule, McKenzie’s Ciders, and Saranac Soft Drinks has opened an outdoor Biergarten ‘1888 Biergarten’. The 1888 Biergarten will be open Thursdays and Fridays 2-7pm and is located at the Brewery’s courtyard, home of Saranac Thursdays.

 

The 1888 Biergarten will offer socially distanced seating, a ten-beer tap lineup, outdoor games, and a rotation of Food Trucks and local food vendors throughout the summer. “Since Saranac Concerts are canceled, we’re excited to offer another way that the community can connect with the Brewery and hopefully also enjoy a beer with me”, said Fred Matt, President of F.X. Matt Brewing Co. Entry is free and a mask is required when not seated.

 

The first scheduled food truck is Friday, July 10^th featuring Brake from the Grind – a ‘farm-to-truck’ experience with a fresh, local, healthy selection of foods. “We can’t wait to bring in a variety of food vendors and when things become safer host food and beer pairings highlighting local cheeses, meats, and other local restaurants”, explains Tara Ritchko, Biergarten/Gift Shop manager.
