Empowered Pathways and The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter are co-hosting a free virtual informational workshop to promote job readiness programs and employment opportunities. Empower your future is happening on Tuesday, September 28th, from 9:30am to 10:30am, via the Zoom meeting platform. Registration is required, but there is no cost to attend.
“In addition to learning about great careers that offer job security, advancement opportunities, and satisfaction, we want people to know there are programs available to help you get there. There are no obligations and nothing to lose by joining this free informational session,” said Stephanie Eghigian, executive director of Empowered Pathways and a speaker at this event.
She’ll be joined by fellow presenters, Arc employees Santana Charlotteen, a risk management coordinator, and Emily Hudson, a recruiter. Charlotteen will speak about her experience receiving personalized training at the Women’s Employment Resources Center through Empowered Pathways, which led to a job at The Arc. She has since been promoted multiple times and feels others could follow in her footsteps. “There are many different paths that a person can take to find career success,” said Charlotteen. “People don’t always realize every advantage available to them, and the pandemic has made it more challenging to share information. We hope this event will help spread the word about resources and career opportunities in our community.”
Everyone who attends and completes the informational session will receive some great gifts, including gift cards to local businesses. To register, please contact Amanda Fiore by phone, 315-724-1718 ext. 104, or email afiore@empoweredpathwayscny.org
