Dear Neighbor,
As we head outdoors to enjoy the summer weather, staying protected against Lyme and tick-borne diseases that can have damaging health effects is extremely important. It is also critical to know how to prevent a tick bite, how to remove a tick, and what to do if you contract a tick-borne disease.
That is why I invite you to attend my “Don’t Get Ticked NY” event on Friday, June 21st. The event will feature two guest speakers, Dr. Saravanan Thangamani and Holly Wise, who will teach us about Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses, as well as how to properly remove a tick and protect against a bite.
The event will be held on Friday, June 21st, from 1 PM to 2:30 PM at the Utica State Office Building, First Floor Conference Room A & B at 207 Genesee Street.
Please RSVP by June 20th by emailing Wilmary Febo at febow@nyassembly.gov.
I look forward to you attending this forum so you can safely enjoy the outdoors this summer!
Sincerely,
Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon
