The Arc, Oneida-Lewis’ Board of Directors and Executive Management team would like to thank the dedicated Direct Support Professionals at The Arc and other human services agencies in the community for their continued support of people with developmental disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We join our community in recognizing the efforts of brave medical personnel, first responders, law enforcement, and all essential staff who are working tirelessly to help get us through these unprecedented times. We include Direct Support staff who are often overlooked, though they’re putting the lives of others before their very own each day.
The Arc, Oneida-Lewis operates 26 residential homes or Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA) in Oneida County alone. Over one hundred people live in either supervised or supportive residences, many of them who receive care around the clock.
DSPs at The Arc, Oneida-Lewis continue to provide these critical services while having families and loved ones of their own. They’re your friends, family, and neighbors who do this vital work each day, not for a paycheck, but because of a passion for supporting others. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all Direct Support Professionals for being our heroes. We ask that you join us in thanking dedicated DSPs for all they do, too.
The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, is a non-profit human services agency accredited by the Council on Quality and Leadership International, who provides advocacy and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Oneida and Lewis counties.
