The Irish Cultural Center of the Mohawk Valley & Five Points Pub Celebrate Irish-American Heritage Month throughout March

 

Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all month long at the Irish Cultural Center and Five Points Pub! Events include:

  • Grand Marshal Reception & the ‘Passing of the Shillelagh” marking the inauguration of our 2024 Grand Marshals, Chris and Mike Hoke who perform monthly with the traditional Irish group Craobh Dugan O’Looney (Crave Dugan O’Looney)
  • Flag raising over City Hall and Lunch Celebration at Five Points – March 13
  • Celtic Trio, Arise & Go, with Utica native Michael Roddy, perform on March 14
  • Patrick’s Day Parade After Party with live music from Fish Creek Rodeo and Ed Hildreth and John Kelsey – March 16
  • Patrick’s Day food specials including all your Irish favorites – corned beef and cabbage, Irish stew, and more. Live music by Mallory Road and DJ Oh Kane – March 17
  • Ancient Ogham (OH-um) workshop – The Celtic Tree Alphabet was a primitive form of script used in Old Irish. Presented by Limerick native Dierdre McCarthy – March 21
  • Five Point Pub music every Thursday – The Midweek Fridays, Jim Syn
  • HARP Museum – Open Wednesday through Saturday on the second floor of the Irish Cultural Center
  • Easter Brunch- March 31 RSVP only!

 

The Irish Cultural Center of the Mohawk Valley is a nonprofit organization that promotes and preserves the rich heritage of local, regional, and national Irish culture for future generations; and fosters Irish cultural awareness through educational, performance and social activities.

 

What’s that? It’s the sound of us celebrating Irish-American Heritage Month! Stop in to Five Points Public House located just steps away from the Wynn Hospital and Varick Street. The area’s only authentic Irish pub, you won’t find a better atmosphere for lunch, happy hour, or dinner with that special lad or lassie in one of our intimate nooks. The pub is open Wednesday through Friday 11 am-10 pm and Saturday 4-10 pm. Stop down and celebrate all things Irish because everyone is irish at Five Points! Sláinte!
