Calling all kids!
We’re spreading love across the country
with a fun Virtual Valentine’s Exchange
between our Museum and the
Children’s Museum of Phoenix in Arizona
Here’s how it will work:
1) Create a Valentine at home using any medium you would like – paper, crayons, markers, paint, glitter, canvas, mixed media, collage – get creative! You can write a nice message if you choose – one of love and friendship, positivity during the pandemic or even add something about the weather on the day you make your Valentine (it’s sunny and warm in Phoenix and cold and snowy here this time of year!) You may also explore using different language(s) to say Happy Valentine’s Day if your family speaks a different language at home. Let your imagination run wild!
2) Have a parent help you take a photo or scan your work of art! (You do not have to be in the photo… unless you would like to and your parents say it’s ok!) Parents:: then, send the photo(s) to us by messaging us on our Facebook page. Send just one Valentine per photo, so we can view them at their best! Please include the child’s first name and age.
3) We will collect all the Virtual Valentines and send them to our friends in Phoenix… and they will send theirs to us.
4) The unveil! On Valentine’s Day (Sunday, February 14th), we will both post the Valentines we received from the other city and we can all enjoy the messages and creativity from kids across the country!
