LIFE at RCIL (Living Independently is For Everyone) is proud to announce our participation in the National Disability Voter Registration Week (NDVRW) which runs from September 13-20, 2021. The focus of this campaign is to register, educate, and prepare voters with disabilities for the 2021 elections and beyond.
Are you ready to vote in the next election? Register to vote TODAY or make sure your registration is up to date at weall.vote/revup.
Historically, there have been many barriers that limit access to the ballot for disabled voters, voters of color, and disabled voters of color. Our vote is powerful, and we will not give it up. Together, we can hold our leaders accountable to make decisions that ensure people with disabilities have equal access to employment, community living, education, transportation, healthcare, and more. You can’t vote if you don’t register!
National Disability Voter Registration Week is coordinated by the American Association of People with Disabilities’ (AAPD) REV UP Voting Campaign. REV UP stands for Register! Educate! Vote! Use your Power! Justin Dart, father of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), said it best: “Vote as if your life depended on it, because it does.”
