There is an urgent need for blood as hospitals resume elective surgeries. With communities opening up again unfortunately we will see an increase in traumas as well which further impacts the need for blood. This Saturday, June 13th, the Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 8:00am to 1:00pm at the Utica Maennerchor, 5535 Flanagan Road, Marcy. The Red Cross has implemented increased safety precautions since Covid 19. All donors will have their temperatures taken and they must wear a mask. A mask will be provided if you do not have your own. All presenting donors will receive a voucher for a pint of Stewart’s ice cream and a $5 Amazon.com Gift Card* via email!
