On Monday, March 10, AmeriCU Credit Union held its 75th Annual Membership Meeting, celebrating all the successes the credit union achieved throughout 2024. Once again, the event was hosted both in person and virtually, ensuring more members had the opportunity to attend.
AmeriCU Credit Union’s President and CEO, Ron Belle, along with Nick Fabrizio, Chairman of AmeriCU’s Board of Directors, spoke to members about the credit union’s financial performance and highlights from 2024. They shared how AmeriCU continued to grow by offering upgraded checking account options, giving members more benefits and the option to choose between earning monthly rewards or one of the highest rates available on their money. AmeriCU also leveraged AI-driven technology to improve fraud detection and enhance digital banking. Additionally, the credit union continued investing in remodeling and modernizing their financial centers.
“AmeriCU’s success has always been driven by our commitment to innovation, growth, and community,” said Ron Belle, President and CEO of AmeriCU Credit Union. “As we look ahead, we remain focused on creating smarter financial solutions, embracing new technologies, and ensuring every member has the tools they need to live life, dream big, and achieve financial success.”
As part of the meeting, AmeriCU announced the results of the Board of Directors election. The nominating committee, after reviewing all applications received, nominated two candidates for the available board seats. In accordance with AmeriCU bylaws, John Stevenson and Ryan Kuhns were re-elected to serve a three-year term.
In addition to financial growth and innovation, AmeriCU reinforced its commitment to the community. As part of its commitment to supporting education, the credit union awarded ten local students with $1,000 scholarships during the event, helping them take the next steps towards their future. Beyond this, in 2024 AmeriCU teammates volunteered approximately 2,000 hours, and AmeriCU contributed over $800,000 to support local organizations in the communities.
