Students at Munson designed logos, and the public voted on them. Pettingil’s winning logo was unveiled at the kickoff for America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk held on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Mastrovito Hyundai in Yorkville. “While I do not have any immediate connection with heart disease or the American Heart Association, I wanted the logo to convey the unity that comes with and is needed when facing heart disease and that I feel the American Heart Association creates while simultaneously celebrating the milestone of being around for 50 years,” Pettingil, who’s from Essex Junction, Vt., said.
