The 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Sunday, October 4th. Due to the pandemic, the event has been modified to ensure the safety of all participants and walkers are being asked to walk with their families and friends in their local neighborhoods.
The Alzheimer’s Association needs help in securing a local “host” location. The location will NOT host a congregation of walkers, but is needed for the following:
- A live recorded ceremony will occur outside at the host site location for walkers to view before they begin walking.
- A curbside donation drop-off will be facilitated at the host site, the location should have easy ingress and egress points.
- A Promise Garden ceremony will be placed at the host site location for constituents to drive by and view as they drop off donations (see image for example of a planted Promise Garden).
