First Source has proudly supported the American Heart Association for many years and this year they are looking forward to continuing the tradition. They will be selling red, silver, and gold hearts for $1, $5 and $10 at each of their branches, February 3rd – March 8th. Members can dedicate them in memory or honor of a loved one. All donations will go to the American Heart Association.
On Friday, February 7th, First Source employees will be participating in National Wear Red Day, donning red apparel, and some of their branch locations will also be lit up in red to show support for the fight against cardiovascular disease in women.
On Saturday, March 8th Team First Source will both be walking in America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk and will be cheering participants on with their experience truck on Heartbreak Hill. They will be handing out beads and playing music to help walkers keep the momentum going.
As stated from The American Heart Association: The Heart Run and Walk is about coming together, turning bystanders into lifesavers, honoring survivors, raising lifesaving funds – and having fun along the way. Through fundraising and community engagement, the American Heart Association aims to enhance CPR training accessibility, bolster bystander preparedness, increase funding for vital research, and save lives.
