SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) is thrilled to announce the return of its popular Spotlight Series this fall, offering a range of exciting workshops, activities, presentations and discussions that explore cutting-edge topics, including advances in technology, science, and business, as well as community-focused initiatives that align with SUNY Poly’s commitment to inclusivity and innovation.
“We are excited to bring back the Spotlight Series, which showcases the remarkable work being done by SUNY Poly faculty as well as community members and provides opportunities for fun and learning in the areas of STEM and the arts,” said Coordinator of University Conferencing and Events Bill Dustin. “This series represents our commitment to providing a platform for knowledge sharing and fostering connections between our institution and the public.”
The Spotlight Series aims to foster a dynamic exchange of ideas, providing a platform for insightful dialogue and engagement among SUNY Poly’s academic community and the public. Signature events this fall include:

• Introduction to Ballroom Dancing Class
• Frightening First Steps: How to Brave the Thrills of Starting Your Own Business
• SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Technological Intelligence
• Trunk-or-Treat at SUNY Poly: A Spook-Tacular Celebration
• Let’s Fuse Some Glass “Make & Take” Workshop: Holiday Edition
• Paint Your Own Holiday Tree: A Festive Art Class
