The Workforce Development Board is Hiring Case Managers in Utica for our Grant Projects!
The Case Manager will be responsible for recruitment, intake and case management of participants; oversee training and/or employment placement of participants; and coordinate services with partner training providers and employers.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to counsel and coach with skill and success.
• Ability to collaborate and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal agencies and their policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Extremely organized and meticulous with details.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
Education ond Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, or relevant work experience.
• Experience in human services.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Experience working with people with disabilities and disadvantaged backgrounds.
Details and Benefits:
• Typical working hours are 8am-4pm, with flexible time available

The Workforce Development Board of Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida counties is now accepting resumes for a part-time Project Assistant in Utica, NY!
Description:
• Project Assistant will devote 100% of their time to specific grant populations depending on the grant requirements.
• Assist Program Directors by providing direct services including program recruitment and retention.
• Facilitate referrals for participants as well as provide mentoring and support.
• Connect individuals with local resources required for clients to meet education and employment goals
• Secure information such as education, skills and social factors contributing to the client’s situation and evaluate their needs.
• Assist clients with resumes, cover letters, job searches and interview preparation.
• Perform routine follow-up with NY SCION clients via phone, email, or in-person appointments, and input noteworthy updates to NY SCION tracking (SmartSheet).
• Utilize America’s One-Stop Operating System (AOSOS) to enroll clients in the American Job Centers across Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida counties.
Requirements:
• Associate’s Degree
• Experience in office administration, case management, or human services preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel.
• Reliable transportation.
Details:
• 25 hours a week on site.
• $20-$25 an hour depending on experience.
• Paid holidays and vacation.
