Audiences will be treated to an evening of musical insight with internationally renowned pianist Jeffrey Siegel’s Keyboard Conversations® at 7:30 p.m. May 4 at Munson in downtown Utica.
To close the season, Siegel will use his signature insightful commentary to explore the masterpieces and 1888 meetup of three Romantic greats—Tchaikovsky, Brahms, and Grieg— when these three eminent composers were together for the first and only time, exploring their mutual influences and individual trajectories.
“These three were perhaps the most popular composers of the nineteenth century, and it’s a popularity that has continued without a break right until our own time,” Siegel said, adding that the program will feature works that capture the great elegance of the 19th century.
Tickets to Keyboard Conversations: Three Great Romantics are $28 for the general public, $23 for Munson Members, and $15 for students and are available at munson.art or 315-797-0055.
