Do you know someone who has saved a life through extraordinary action or preparedness or who has made a meaningful impact in the community this year? Now is your chance to honor them.

The Central and Northern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross is seeking nominations for our 24th Annual Real Heroes Celebration event to be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from noon to 1:00 PM at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown in Syracuse.

Event Overview: The “Real Heroes” concept grew out of a desire to present an event that celebrates both the mission of the American Red Cross and the spirit of humanitarianism by honoring individuals in Central and Northern New York who have shown courage, dedication, and selfless character by their acts of heroism or volunteerism to assist those in need within their communities. Every day, ordinary people make extraordinary contributions by putting their needs aside to help others in our community. The American Red Cross is honored to salute these unsung heroes.

Mission Statement: The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
