The Broadway Theatre League of Utica is pleased to announce Geovanni Stoddard as the recipient of the 2023-2024 Linda Leogrande Youth Ambassador Scholarship.
The Linda Leogrande Youth Ambassador Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Linda Leogrande, who served on the Broadway Theatre League board for over 30 years. This scholarship recognizes and supports seniors in our Youth Ambassador Program who plan to pursue a major in arts education. Eligible students must have participated in the Youth Ambassador Program for two consecutive Broadway seasons and completed the application process. The recipient is selected by a dedicated committee.
Geovanni Stoddard was chosen for his exceptional dedication and passion for theater. His talent and commitment reflect the qualities that Linda Leogrande exemplified. Stoddard’s achievements and potential in the arts were key factors in his selection for this scholarship.
“Geovanni Stoddard is not only a talented and driven individual, but also a kind soul who brings warmth and positivity to everyone around him. His dedication to theater and his compassionate nature truly embodies the spirit of Linda Leogrande.” states, Kristen Matteson, Community Outreach & Program Coordinator.
Additionally, Broadway Utica is awarding a $250 cash scholarship to both Geovanni Stoddard and Philip Fiacco. This contribution is intended to support their needs as they prepare for or attend college.
Philip Fiacco has demonstrated a strong commitment to theater and the arts throughout his time in our program. His reliability and dedication to volunteering at events and consistently meeting program requirements were significant factors in this recognition.
We extend our gratitude to everyone who has supported the Linda Leogrande Youth Ambassador Scholarship Fund. Your generosity continues to honor Linda’s legacy and supports the aspirations of our Youth Ambassadors.
