These lively, after-work events are all about connection and fun. With excellent networking, door prizes, tours, and special promotions, you’ll have the perfect opportunity to showcase what makes your business unique while creating a memorable experience for our members.

When you’re ready to draw attention and make a lasting impression, a Business After Hours is the place to be!

 

By hosting a Business After Hours, you can:

  • Highlight your business, service, or a specific milestone/anniversary
  • Build your customer base, generate leads and community connections
  • Provide details to local media and elected officials for additional exposure

What we take care of:

  • Post details before and after the event on our social media platforms, website, and email marketing
  • Invite local media and elected officials to attend
  • Provide a list of Chamber members to collaborate with (upon request)
  • Taking reservations, providing name tags, handling registration at the event

To make your Business After Hours successful: 

  • Consider having a fun raffle or giveaway
  • Collaborate with another Chamber member if possible
  • Have print materials such as brochures or business cards available for guests
  • Have an employee prepared to talk about your business
  • Promote the event on your own channels
  • Invite your employees, board members, and community partners

Hosting Business Requirements: 

  • Hosts are responsible to provide hors d’oeuvres and beverages (minimum of beer, wine, soft drinks) and assume all costs for such food and drink. There will be no cost charged to the attendees for food and beverage.
  • Hosts should have ample space for registration equipped with a standard sized table and two chairs.
  • Hosts must provide the Chamber with a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce as additional insured for the date of the event.
  • Hosts will provide the Chamber with the following information upon confirming their set date and time and any modifications or additions at least 90 days prior to their event date:
    • A high-resolution copy of your logo
    • 2-3 photos representing your business
    • A brief paragraph or two about your company and what people should expect to take away from visiting your business (you may also include any special features, specific areas you are trying to promote within your company, or if you’ll be offering tours that evening)
    • Any door prize or giveaway for the evening (as mentioned above, this is not required but can be a great way to collect business cards and add an incentive to attend the event)
