Registration for the Munson Festival Art Show opens May 1. A highlight of Munson’s Arts Festival—the area’s longest-running summertime celebration of arts and community—the Festival Art Show will once again be on view in the Museum of Art’s Root Court.

The Arts Festival kicks off Saturday, July 12, with the Munson Car Show and Fountain Elms Invitational, and continues through Sunday, July 20. The weeklong celebration features artist demonstrations, crafts for kids, live concerts, and the Festival Art Show as its centerpiece.

Local artists may register for the Festival Art Show between May 1 and June 22. Registration forms are available at Munson’s welcome desk or online at munson.art/arts-festival.

Artwork drop-off is scheduled for June 21 and 22 at the Museum. Adult artists and high school students (grades 9–12) who live within a 40-mile radius of Utica are eligible to submit one work for consideration. Not all submissions will be exhibited.

Eligible media include paintings, photographs, prints, drawings, computer-generated art, and small sculptures. Crafts, films, and videos will not be accepted. All work must be securely framed. Watercolors, drawings, prints, and photographs must be framed under plexiglass. Maximum framed dimensions are 44 x 48 x 2 inches; sculpture dimensions may not exceed 24 x 24 x 24 inches.

A nonrefundable $15 registration fee applies, payable by cash, check, or credit card. Registration is free for Munson Members, high school students, and SNAP/EBT cardholders.
